Regatta The Shawnigan Regatta is one of the club's favourites; lots of epic racing at the end of the season in
the sun that we can watch sitting on the grass in the park, AND free food at
a BBQ on Saturday night. The only real drawback is the insane twelve
hour days of racing. It is, for our purposes, the provincial
championships. A really cool, first class event; also has loads of
races for everyone. The regatta takes place at the provincial
campground on West Shawnigan Lake Road, not the school. Guaranteed
someone will get lost driving there so be sure to look at the
directions! |

May -
to be determined NRC Awards, AGM & Potluck. Bowen Park Picnic Shelters.
We roll all of that stuff together and kick it off with
Don Rinald's 4th Annual Road Hockey Rumble (which everyone is welcome to
attend). A super fun day and a great opportunity for fresh blood to be
injected into our executive committee. The awards are a great event
that no one should miss; who will be this year's most fashionable rower?
What will prevail as quote of the year? Only time will tell. |

TBD - Anna Gerrard Days This is, usually a weekend or week of practices, where we race kids off in a bunch of different double combinations in order to, very scientifically of course, rank their boat speed. I think that it is a really important and positive thing to do for our athletes. The fastest boy and girl get their name on the Anna Gerrard Award and can bask in the glory forever. |
